Clinicians With ADHD group

You deserve to feel support too!

Enough is enough. . .

It's time to reduce the shame and stigma around having ADHD and being a psychotherapist.

There are a lot of us out there - mental health therapists who have ADHD. We often struggle with paperwork when others can seemingly just get it done.

Our desks might be messy and we can endure many late nights trying to sort through the endless organizational challenges.

Maybe you feel uncomfortable that taking medication helps you to focus or don't get nearly enough sleep on a regular (what's that again?) basis.

Or your relationships with your loved ones are suffering as you stay up later and later to address what's left to be done in your practice while your family wonders what happened to you.

Maybe you feel embarrassed about always feeling behind and/or worried about passing that next practicum or internship. Perhaps, you might benefit from accommodations but fear asking for them for your licensing exams or at your job.

You are not alone in any of this. We all struggle to keep our heads above water at times. While practical tools and guidance rocks, we also need support to manage the emotional side of having ADHD.

Let's come together and provide mutual support through a facilitated monthly group. Resources will be shared and shame and stigma reduced.

It's time to start taking care of yourself again (remember you?). You got this!
